If my name was on it, it had to be done properly.
When I started my painting apprenticeship in 2003, I simply wanted to work in construction and build something I could be proud of. I didn't know it would turn into leading a large team of 20+ across Brisbane and the Gold Coast more than two decades later.
After gaining my contractor's licence, I founded DeluxeFX in 2010. For the first seven or eight years, it was just me — every job carried my direct accountability. That experience shaped the company we are today: built on consistency, pride, and high standards that don't shift.
Early on, restoring traditional Queenslanders taught me patience and respect for craftsmanship. Over time, our experience has grown to include everything from high-end architectural residences to family home repaints, detailed restoration work, and large-scale commercial developments. No matter the size or scope, the approach remains the same.
